My ring is nearly finished! All the side diamonds have been set, and all that's left to do is set the center stone and plate it in Rhodium! My should be in my hand this week- although I still won't be able to wear it until June. Boo. Lol!

Got another text today.  Sadly no pictures, but what are you gonna do?  The ring is all sanded, polished and pretty.  :)  I'm not sure if it's been plated yet, but I'm going to guess not, since plating doesn't hurt gemstones, and often it is referred to as the "final step" in making white gold jewelry.  Kevin reports that yesterday he carefully ( Read more... )

Got yet another photo today from the amazing jeweler who owns and operates Kevin Schimke Designing Jewelers!  My ring was casted last night in the the mold created by my late Tardis blue wax ring.  After cooling all night, the mold was cracked open, and destroyed.  It can never be used again.  Inside the ruined open mold, lay a one-of-a-kind ring ( Read more... )
